About…

Hello! I’m Serena Fae, a New England native, floral designer and botanical artist. I have been drawing and painting since I was a little girl. I fondly remember going door-to-door in my neighborhood with my sister selling our crayon drawings on the backs of discarded printer papers…at 5 cents a pop!

At High Mowing Waldorf school in New Hampshire I was very lucky to study art for four years with the late Eunice Chalmers from whom I learned the fundamentals of art. Her art studio contained the most eclectic collection of natural flora and fauna, and she encouraged me to explore botanical design and composition- the subject matter I was most drawn to.

I now work full-time as a floral designer. I believe that my work as a floral designer has greatly furthered my understanding of flowers as artistic subject matter. Because I’ve been working with them for over ten years, whenever I see flowers arranged in a bride’s bouquet, it’s like recognizing the faces of beloved friends.

When I’m not drawing bouquets or designing arrangements, you’ll find me with my nose in a book, binging murder podcasts and getting out in the sun!
